"Fredrico Lorca" = Frederico Gárcia Lorca, spanischer Schriftsteller, starb 1936 im spanischen Bürgerkrieg"mockingbird" = Spottdrossel
"red flag, they wore the black one" = die rote Fahne steht für den Sozialismus, die schwarze für den Anarchismus. Siehe auch die Ähnlichkeit zur Stelle "die rote Front und die schwarze Front sind hier" in "Die letzte Schlacht gewinnen wir".
Dieses Lied ist eine Coverversion des gleichnamigen Songs von The Clash (geschrieben 1979) und handelt vom spanischen Bürgerkrieg 1936-39. Gegen die 1936 gewählte Volksfront erhob sich General Franco und gewann den Bürgerkrieg 1939. Rio fügt am Schluss des Liedes hinzu: "U.S: bombs in Granada, oh ma côranzon." Interessant, wie Rio diesen Rocksong auf Piano schneller und energischer als im Original spielt.
